Tanduay Cocktail Culture: Bacolod

Anyone from the friendly City of Smiles can attest to it: there’s no place like home. With all its flavors, Bacolod is also known to be the place to go to quench your hunger. But some flavors are best captured in a glass. And as the only recognized organic province in the Philippines, it’s a great place to source for the perfect ingredients for the perfect cocktail.

Right outside the city, at Balay ni Tana Dicang in Talisay, Dondz Bolante makes good use of the province’s organic produce—picking up some pomelo and guyabano from the local market—and whips up a refreshing sour. Cheers.

Bacolod Sour

Blue Ginger
10ml Simple Syrup
50ml Tanduay Rhum

How To Mix:
Muddle 45ml of guyabano and add 2 slices of blue ginger. Pour 10ml simple syrup, 20ml of squeezed pomelo and 50ml of Tanduay Rhum in a shaker tin. Shake, pour, and garnish with a sugar cane.

Sip and enjoy!
